Hello Pearsontown Parents,
The month of November is here! I simply can't believe it! With the Veteran's Day and Thanksgiving Holidays upon us, this month will go rather quickly. This week, I would like to invite all parents to our next "Coffee with the Principal" session which will be held on Thursday, November 5th from 11:30-12:30 in the Pearsontown media center. The topic will be "Strategies to Help Students Experiencing Academic Challenges". Come and learn how Pearsontown is addressing students who are having academic issues as well as learn strategies that will empower you, as parents, to better support your child. Refreshments will be served.
In addition to the Coffee Session that we are having this week, we would like for you to mark your calendar for our annual DPS Magnet Fair. The Magnet fair will take place on Saturday, November 14th from 9:00-12:00noon at Hillside High School. As you know, Pearsontown only accepts students who apply via a magnet application. If you know of families who might be interested in learning more about our year-round program, Pearsontown faculty and staff will be available to address questions prospective parents may have about our program. In addition, prospective parents can tour Pearsontown and see the "magic" that happens at Pearsontown during one of our showcase of school days. Pearsontown will host five showcase of school days on the following dates and times:
November 17th (9:30-11:00a.m.)
November 19th (9:30-11:00a.m.)
December 7th (9:30-11:00a.m.)
December 9th (9:30-11:30a.m.)
December 9th (6:00-7:00p.m.)
